With this skill you can create triggers for your Alexa routines and can activate these triggers by calling a URL. The URL can, for instance, be called in any regular web-browser, from a smartphone or within any script of software that allows you open URLs.
- 1. Install the Webhook Routine Trigger skill and log in with your Amazon account.
When Alexa starts detecting new devices, the first trigger (Trigger1) will be found.
This trigger will be displayed as a doorbell.
- 2. Sign in with your Amazon account here in the upper right corner.
(You will be redirected to amazon login page. I will never receive your amazon password. Do not worry.)
- 3. Now you can use device "Trigger1" as a trigger for Alexa routines.
When you set up a new routine, select "When the following happens" and the category "Smart Home" / device "Trigger1".
- 4. You will see the first trigger created for you and URL to start it
Maximum number of executions is 400 times per day.
